Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Today, a hive of inactivity!
My guess is a combination of the work being up on schedule and the wet weather, (there's a big pond formed at the bottom of the site), so the workers have been given the day off.
However, it could be industrial action, run out of diesel, the plague, or they've been kidnapped by aliens.
The neat and tidy state of the site suggests the former.
Looking forwards to a bit more action next week.

I know it's small potatoes in the grand scheme of things but those machines are probably costing about £300-400 per day each to sit there!

Blimey. You can read two seperate articles at the same time? Can you do that while patting you tummy with one hand whilst making circular movements over your head with the other?

Worthing
I got bored and e-mailed Martin Perry.

The reply thus

Hi Neil

Weather - we are placing chalk and you cannot do this in very wet
conditions. Delays caused by weather are at the risk of the contractor
so he will be expected to pick up lost time - in fact within his
programme he has made allowance for losing days for inclement
conditions.

Thanks for your support.

Kind regards

Martin Perry
