Maybe he's over-tired ?Stress fractures are often caused by repetitive activity but this doesn’t necessarily mean “over training.”

Maybe Igor stood on himInjury could be down to physics and biomechanics.
He seems to get a good old spring off of his young bones and there's a lot of factors, levers, bones, joints, tendons and STRESS involved in this.
I am only half joking.
Are these Ulloa's penalty taking boots?...it would explain alot!He should wear proper boots instead of those stupid slippers they use nowadays

We have been overplaying our younger players this season.Probably right though. Stress fractures are usually caused by overuse.
Agreed. It's certainly not the excess weight of his shin pads!We have been overplaying our younger players this season.
Hinchelwood & Buonanotte in particular have played more than would be ideal.
I think dear RDZ is more flexible in his tactics than some of us ( me included) give him credit for. It's been an appalling run of injuries recently. To still be actively involved at the business end of three major competitions at this stage of the season is nothing short of miraculous
We don't know his injury history before he joined the first team squad. If he's had a stress fracture of the same bone before they may have elected for surgery to strengthen the bone.Oof. Surgery isn't normally the treatment for a stress fracture. Usually you just rest it until it heals. Must be a pretty bad one.
