Some may have missed the announcement from the club yesterday that Jack Hinchy, a midfielder, has signed on a two-year deal from Stockport County.

This has obviously been in the works for a while; I had noticed on their fans forum a while ago that there was mention of him moving south. The fee is, of course, undisclosed, but this is the Hatters' reporter for the Manchester Evening News:-

A poster on their board stated that they had heard the fee was 200k, to which another poster replied:-

Not quite, I think it’s £120k upfront potentially rising as high as £500k if certain things are hit. Sell on too.

Gotta be a prospect if Rusk has approved. Will probably get a lot of game time for the u23s.
Has Leonard gone out on loan?

Club website didn't mention what position he played, any idea?

Think the opening line in the post you quoted may give a little clue there.....

But even if it wasn't there ......

Central Defender 2/1
Central Midfielder 9/4
Goalie 8/1
Winger 9/1
Full Back 12/1
Striker .... 20 billion/1

HINCHY JOINS SHREWSBURY ON LOAN

Jack Hinchy has joined League One Shrewsbury Town on loan for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old has made two first team appearances for us, including a substitute appearance in our Emirates FA Cup win over Stoke City last month.

Technical director David Weir said, "This is a great opportunity for Jack to be involved regularly in a senior first-team environment and hopefully get a chance to play a part for Shrewsbury in the second half of the season.

"As our under-21s captain he's been really important in the team that reached the quarter-finals of the EFL Trophy. Now it's about taking that next step on his development pathway. We wish him well for his time with Shrewsbury."

Jack joined us from Stockport County in 2021 and has made 40 appearances for our under-21s. He made his first team debut in the EFL Cup win over Forest Green Rovers last season, while he was also on the bench for our Europa League wins over AEK Athens and Marseille.
