Fair play to him going to Afganistan, but that's just my point in many respects. It was HIM who went there; him who did the 'famous face' biz in the Olympic bid; him handing that bloody great book over the other day & going on about "passion". I just wish I didn't see his mush on everything & anything to do with football/sport concerning this country. (Over) Familiarity & all that.
He does get a lot of exposure but at least all the things you mention are positive. Better than some of his team-mates who get it for smacking people in bars, missing drug tests, flogging tours round Wembley etc, etc.
