Work experience kid in charge tonight? Even after a monumental f***-up for the goal, they still manage to get the adverts before (sorry, over) the interviews wrong too.

It's a rare moment recently where people claim the BBC are the right people for a job... but this is definitely a case here!

EDIT - and now the entire channel has crashed. f***ing unbelievable.

Did they miss the goal? I only had the TV on, they suddenly flicked to an obviously unintentional ad break, and shortly after they came back there was the goal.

If the goal went in whilst they were off air I was oblivious to it.

Apparently the Northern regions + the independents (UTV/STV) managed not to miss it - JUST; only the Southern ones did.

This things are usually quite complicated and it the fault of the playout provider (not ITV), they'll probably lose their job over it - which aren't particular well paid as it goes.

Of dear - sorry people are really talking shite over this.

No-one of work experience would have been allowed anywhere near a transmission suite.

Opting and opting out of local adverts is actually something quite complex to manage and not (as everyone assumes) done in the ITV building or by ITV themselves anymore.

For the record the BBC don't do their own transmission either.

I'm sure you did get the point, but I wasn't entirely serious about the work experience kid...

Because they are both contracted to show coverage.

Makes NIL difference at all. Are you saying that if Setenta cut to adverts in a Premier League game then Sky should give up their Premier League coverage, because they are both contracted to show it?
