Hi, i have plugged my ipod into itunes, it says 11.2gb of audio and 2.1 gb of other? I assume this is album art etc, is there anyway it can be removed?. Ta
As a side, it's worth noting the 'other' section will still probably exist even on a brand new ipod/iphone as this is the category that things like the operating system etc are filed under (I think?)
Good point, the ios is under that, but not near his 2 gig or my 6 gig mark, so what is it you clever lot out there?
Games, calendar, photos!?!
The games are apps though?
On mine, the apps are 4gb for example.
If it's not an Ipod Touch it won't have apps, but I'm pretty sure they still have basic games ,calendars and contacts!?
Mine is a 32gig touch.
What kind of iPod is it? If you're using an iPod Touch there are all manner of things that could take up space under "other". However if it's a regular "dumb" iPod then you shouldn't have so much space given over to this mysterious "other"
How do you know so much about this?
It may be corrupted files and the like.
I think if you restore it, it'll sort itself out.
Don't do it untill someone that's more au fait it with comes along.
Just checked mine, and it's got over 6 gig of it!
I can't restore because it's jailbroken, which'll teach me.
From owning iPods. Next?
