Why isn’t blah blah on the list?
So and so should be number 1!
It’s not even the end of the year yet, what if an album is released in December?
This is a marketing tool for Xmas etc etc.

I only own 7..all on vinyl. I didn’t even know Damaged Bug released an album this year; that completely passed me by.

Music just seems to have completely passed me by this year. Mainly because I’m not listening in my commute so much I guess. I only know about 4 albums on that list, Caribou, 4 Tet, kelly lee Owens, and Idles.

In a pile of football shirts
Expecting my copy of the new Phil Campbell and the ******* Sons album ‘We’re the ********’ which is due tomorrow on sparkle vinyl, from the couple of tracks I’ve heard it’s going to be good.

So far this year I’ve enjoyed:
Blind River's ‘Made of Dirt’
The new Raven album Metal City.
Hip to the Jag by Kavus Torabi took a bit of getting used to, but it’s a decent listen too.
The self titled album by Lamb of Gods is a smasher.

And the other one I’m looking forward to is King Creature with Set The World on Fire. The couple of tracks I’ve heard so far are excellent.

Glad to see that Brighton's very own Porridge Radio has made the top ten. Probably makes my top five (not that I've heard that many albums this year). Go on then HT, I know you're itching to reveal what you're thinking will make your top ten.

I’m more concerned about the albums I’ve completely missed at the moment! But, Yves Tumor will be up there, as will the Daniel Avery and Alessandro Cortini long player.

Waiting for the new (3rd of 2020) Guided By Voices album before finalising a list of favourites.

Looking at the Rough Trade list it same 'old' story for me. Like the Wire, Thurston Moore, Bob Mould, Isobel Campbell and Chuck Prophet albums. Not too sure about the stuff made by the youngsters these days, but I'll give some a listen.

I have heard of around 6 or the artists on that list and own none of the releases.

For me, 2020 includes:

Fraunhofer Diffraction - Serenity (part 2)
Handful of snowdrops - the four winds
The Midnight - Monsters
She Past Away - X
Nina-Synthian
Protomartyr - Ultimate success today
Sibewest - 666 sense
Jessie Frye - Kiss me in the rain

I expect Fiona Apple’s album to make most peoples lists. But 64 seems a bit harsh- in my top ten for sure.

I'll have to give the latter a go. Drone Logic was something else, and last year's album was good too (not that I remember its name). We saw YT at End of the Road: out there.

Also no mention of The Flaming Lips American Head album which was a real return to form.
