The Albion were fined by UEFA for not fulfilling their media duties away at Roma.

Managers were required to conduct a pre-match interview pitchside, but Roberto De Zerbi got stage fright and wouldn’t leave the tunnel area.

David Weir had to be found and rushed pitchside so the Albion had someone to face the media.

Around 1986 Lawrenson and Maybank amongst others used to frequent Corals Squash Club. One night Maybank got barred as he couldn't be arsed to go downstairs to the toilet and pissed in a plant pot!

Bumping into Stuart Storer in Berlin was a bit random.

I had to mark Tony Towner (right winger) whenever we played against his school (age 12 - 15). He wasn't too bad, but we normally won 😉

What I thought was ‘strange’ is that I got approx 40 instances of what I can only describe as hate mail (or similar type communications) from Albion fans when the CKR signing started going south.

Cos it was obviously my fault right!? 😂

DK phoned me up at about 1030pm on the night CKR left to explain why we sold him, but my overriding emotion was genuine relief.

The dull part of the south coast
Kit wasn't dropped, he was moved out to the wing so Beamish and Irvine could play together I think. John was dropped in favour of Ian Goodwin. Our results after were very symmetrical - WWDWWDWWDWWD. But I can't remember what I did yesterday.

Nice story though.
Memories eh! I thought Ken Beamish had replaced Kit, I forgot that Kit had moved sideways.

Imagine this thread in 2050, no players in living memory will have done anything interesting nor ever shared same public space with any fans or press to have witnessed.

I posted something on here about CKR being a bit lazy and received a really abusive PM from his father/stepfather (?). I apologised and said I would not have posted it if I thought it would be read by his family. We became almost internet mates after that as he apologised to me about his rant. We then exchanged a few interesting PMs until CKR moved on.

Real shame you got abuse as it was pretty bloody exciting when you ”won” him
