[Albion] It's about time this Murray experiment was bought to an end.

It would be nice if, for once, you got your facts right.

Unlike most on here, when wrong, I have always owned my comments about Murray.

This is fair . You have. Perhaps worth sharing again then when starting threads like this then.

Been saying it for weeks, I think ever since the Newcastle game.

Murray still has a lot to offer, but I would start Andone in most games, with Murray used of the bench. No doubt there's no one better in the air than Murray at this club, and he's one of the best in the league, but we put enough chances his way to warrant him starting.

After what Andone done against Palace, I thought he was a definite starter today.

Murray thought he'd be an impact sub this year, said it himself. That's what he should be now that Andone is fit and firing

Wait until Florin plays a lot more games before you bring that statistic into play! It's far too early to tell how consistent a finisher he is.

Of course, it is early, but it is a fact as we speak, that's all we can talk about.

Why?
The thread speaks for itself.
The team appears to have developed into what the new signings have always promised sadly the manager is still reluctant to acknowledge that fact.

If acknowledging this fact means selecting them (not sure what else it means) i'm a bit perplexed as Bissouma has started 3 out of the last 4 games, Bernardo has started the last 5, Andone has played 30+ mins in the last four games - starting two of them, and Montoya has played 90 minutes in 3 out of the last 6. And Balogun has played most of the last three.
If you mean the team has needs to purge poor old Glenn Murray cos although he scores lots of goals, but is too old (as you argued at the start of the season, and last season), then Hughton has dropped him four times in the last 10 as well.

You mean the 3 games Stephens was suspended for?? So you think he'd have started them anyway even if Stephens wasn't suspended?

Let's not forget the fact Andone would never have put palace to the sword without Murray being injured, as he sure as hell wouldn't have been subbed on before the 70th minute otherwise.

The team is clearly a counterattacking side in all but one position.

As Bill Belichek saying 'it's better to ship them out a year early than a year late'.

Do you deliberately set out to be an idiot? Chelsea are a bit useful and we contrived to not be able to complete a simple midfield pass, let alone provide GM with a single telling pass. Or didn't you notice?

Who knows but i'm perplexed at this idea that Hughton is now blind to the potential of his new signings in the summer. He's started Bissouma 7 times now and featured him every game bar two. He's dropped Murray, Gross, Stephens, Knockaert, Bruno, Bong multiple times for tactical reasons this season now.

Can you remember why we were 2-0 up ? Was that anything to do with Glenn Murray then ?
the corner ? the penalty ? Oh well.
And was that Glenn Murray that Hughton dropped for Andone the previous game who er, scored and brought home 3 points. Yes it was.
And FWIW Andone came on today in the 60th minute so i don't know what was going on there. :)

Generally I'm in agreement with you just think that wasn't the example to use for your argument.

Bissouma’s diagonal pass to March for what should have been the red card was majestic. He has to start ahead of Stephens now.

Was talking about this after the match. I think Andone has to start and then Murray is that player you turn to when chasing a goal and not Locadia as it was today. You could just tell that Andone was more suited for this game than Murray.

What I did notice was most of the time the midfield had no forward pass available to them.
They were left with either fanciful passes, or going backwards, while Luiz stood around eating his lunch.

Not bad for an idiot.

Wouldn't mind seeing Murray and Andone start together at home to see what they could do. I think their games would compliment each other very well.

Agreed. And not just him.
As I said on the other thread, Andone and Bissouma should be first choice ahead of Murray and Stephens from now on.

Murray will always get the odd goal and will be a brilliant sub to bring on but Andone’s all round game offers far more to us, and with one man up front and Gross usually half the pitch behind him, we need more from our lone striker. He is 35 now so that’s not unreasonable or unexpected.

That can't happen without sacrificing Groß, and that's crazy talk.
