Can I ask ‘one of the best’ based on what? Don’t get me wrong the last 6 months under GP (end of last season/start of this) have been fantastic but even last season we easily could have finished 13th and his two prior seasons we finished in the bottom 1/4 of the league despite having a budget of slightly above this level
There’s no doubt GP is a good coach but I’m not sure anyone can say one of the best yet, he’s not dealt with top level players or managed where the expectations are massive yet, I do think because of the last 6 months people forget how frustrating the football was under Potter at times, recency bias.

Probably a 50% chance or so that he is still in Chelsea. It is difficult to know how Boehly works. Yes, he sacked Tuchel very quickly but that also wasn't a manager he appointed himself and whenever there is an owner change in a club the sitting manager is in a dangerous position. But in Boehlys baseball or basketball (or whatever shite sport they're playing) he has apparently had the same bloke in charge for seven years so that might be an indicator that GP may get loads of time. And if he gets that, I don't see him failing.
If not, who knows. He's been working for 11 years straight now without any breaks which is somewhat unusual for a manager and if he'd get sacked I could see him resting his feet on the sofa for a while.
If he'd work in another English club by then there's some candidates obviously but we don't know what things will look like in three years - plenty of clubs that look weak today could have done a Newcastle and clubs that look strong currently could be in the Championship or League One. Nothing can be ruled out I think. Not even Brighton, though many may not feel that way right now.

Remember I was a Potter Fanboy, I may have been frustrated but I NEVER doubted that he would turn it around if he was backed, which he was.

Plenty of people did actually not think Brighton played bad football or were all that unsuccessful prior the last six months.
Just read some old posts from difficult times and you'll find that plenty still thought the team played very very well for most of the time.
