Looks like no hope of signing him permanantly but maybe for the season, or at least 3 months?

Yes Henderson's quality has been the best player in Reading's pre season by a mile aparantly. This is why I think it is odd that he's been loaned out to us.

How long is his contract with Reading? Could this be another Zamora scenario, player hasn't a chance of getting in the team and would take a drop in divisions to make a name for himself so makes it clear he won't sign a new contract. His club are then obliged to get shot of him
