Work is almost over, the drinking can begin. I feel strangely happy and calm. How is everyone else?

by which time i would have drunk in wetherspoons in 5 different towns and got my pub crawl up to the century landmark

One of the more civilised things about my place of work is that, if it's somebody's birthday, or a new account's been won, or indeed there's any reasonable excuse, they wheel a trolley laden with alcohol round at 5pm and you can take your pick, at your desk.

With over 60 people in the place that's a lot of birthdays. Today is one such day. So I've already had a pint, and am looking forward to a long weekend through the pleasant filter which only that first pint can furnish one with.
