Thread starter still bitter Corbyn won the election
Obviously maths is not quite your strong point.
More votes - Tories.
More seats - Tories.
And Labour won. Maybe wake up and get in the real world.
Thread starter still bitter Corbyn won the election
He's still breathing?
With the Leader of Scotland's Labour Party being pressured into resigning by Corbyn 's henchmen ( allegedly) along with other moderate Labour MP's ( alleged but we know it's true ) including huge pressure being put on our own very good but moderate labour Hove MP, isn't it time that there was some inquiry into the behaviour of Corbyn and his henchmen ?
Surely it can't be right we have allowed Labour to be taken over by Marxist type extremists.
If the Tories were taken over by extreme right wing, there would be a huge public outcry. Why not the same for an extremist left wing takeover which we currently have ?
Every other moderate Labour leader over the last 50 years has managed to keep the extremist union type marxists under control, Corbyn encourages it !
Ha! I'm not a huge fan of his, not so much what he says, in principal I like his take on things but the way he proposes to act on his ideals are confused and confusing.

It's the way things are going and the Labour Party will be full of these weird types and those hideous dire student types. He will never be PM as many tories and ukip voters slipped over because of brexit was done and they needed a new people's party.
Now with many of these idiots desperate to hijack brexit along with the tories it will just go back normal level.
Corbyn would be the biggest disaster for this country as he's nothing but a anarchist and anti British like many of these far left idiots.
In what respect do you regard him to be anti-British?
Wasting your time. Hypocrisy and turning a blind eye to all their glaring inadequacies is the norm for many now. Bullying and intimidation ..http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-from-bullying-and-intimidation-a7135081.html .. https://www.theguardian.com/politic...on-jeremy-corbyn-to-act-over-escalating-abuse .. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-sussex-36804987 .. nothing to see here.
Highlighting this or their past satements and actions = a smear. Questioning or criticizing the actions of a Corbyn 'government in waiting' leads to the usual 'look at the Tories instead' line. Can't we do both? Wonder when interrogating the opposition policies/polticians/actions become so unfair .. .
I struggle to understand how so many were fooled by Corbyn and his cohorts during the election. Policy made up on the hoof, nothing to back the figures up and just a general statement. He was gifted the terrorist attacks, where suddenly millions was available for police expansion, the NHS computer drama where he said he would make £8bn available for cyber cover and rallies reminiscent of the seventies. No policy on Europe and Brexit and a complete failure to answer any questions on his links with the IRA, HAMAS and his old mate Hugo Chavez.
He mobilized the bully boys during the Grenfell tragedy, allowed trade union influence and continues with the not so underhand treatment of his own party members. Sent his apparatchiks into universities where probably the biggest voting fraud of all time was carried out and made up his own figures and policies as he was being interview. Yes he has changed his interview style and is mellow and accommodating, but he is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Beware he is a very dangerous man!

How can someone be an 'anarchist' and on the 'far left'? One is in favour of no state control and one is in favour of massive state control - it's like saying someone's a Palace supporter and a Brighton fan.

More Corbynista nastiness...

Jess Phillips is the latest Labour MP to bravely speak out about some members of the British-Pakistani community “having issues about women’s roles in a family, in society”. The response from the hard-left? Threatening to deselect her at the next election. Oh, and they’ve added in their online graphics that Jess is apparently a “Zionist“. Not sure what that has to do with anything…

The Tories were taken over by the extreme right wing about 200 years ago, we are so familiar with their extremism we can't see it any more.
Seems disingenuous to criticise making policy up on the hoof given the Tory u turns before during and after the election.
The manifesto was costed unlike the conservative one.
He has repeatedly explained his wish for peace in various conflicts and his role in at least trying to get dialogue started. He won the Gandhi foundation international peace award.
You may worry about a return to 70s militant unionism, but to undo 40 years of diminution of workers rights and return to effectively full employment in a single parliamentary term to make that possible is not going to happen.
Given the far right of the Tory party have been involved in illegal push polling and breaking of spending rules in the last three elections (Inc referendum) a few students voting twice may not be the most effective place to start on ensuring fair elections.
Does Germany have a far left Marxist government?
No. But it does have state owned infrastructure, a national investment bank, greater workers rights, a ban on zero hours contracts, strong rights for tenants, higher corporation tax and many other things that Corbyn is calling for.
That's not really true though. The Tory party of Macmillan looked nothing like the Tory party of now. In the late 50s we had free university education, a massive social housing building programme, nationalised rail and utilities, strong trade unions and some sort of planned economy - the establishment of Neddy. A party with such policies today would be deemed firmly on the left of the political divide.
And, as Jackanada points out, current Labour policies would be accepted happily by a right-of-centre German government too.
