Agree with the general consensus that he is not yet the greatest player in the world, but give it a cople of years.... What is clear is that he is one of the thickest. He marred an otherwise flawless performance when exchanging shirts, putting it on inside out and back to front. My two year old could have done a better job !

No - Raul, Shevchenko, Henry are all ahead of him, not necessarily in that order. Carlos Tevez of Argentina also looks pretty special, as does Robinho. He's not looking too shoddy though.

Missed the game as my scouse supporting pal came round and made me watch them play. So I saw 1 goal and 90 minutes of dire football and missed out on 8 goals.

As for Rooney I just hope the wheels don't fall off like Gazza. Although now he pulls on that red shirt I'm started to take a dislike to him.
