Too early for that obviously, but he is frightening. The kid can't possibly be match-fit yet, and look what he's done to a good side who didn't play badly tonight.

It wasn't just the goals, he was shrugging off experienced international defenders like they weren't there, and still only 18. Unbelievable. That combination of brute strength, sublime shooting ability, a magical first touch and the 'football brain' of Gazza COULD make him an all-time great.

Bit harsh. Rooney is playing alongside quality players now not a team of hoofers. And if Rooney looked average at Everton, how the hell did he get into the England side?

Moyes has done pretty well with the players he's had to work with.
