If he's going to play its got to be in the centre of midfield or at a push, wide left, cos he leaves a big hole when he plays wide on the right as he disappears into the centre.

He's naturally a left sided player and it showed like you've all said against Cheltenham totally magnificant. Then two weeks on the bench and being forced into an unatural position total bollocks! So The Large One and Don Tmatter clearly didn't go to the Cheltenham game. Or at least had their eyes closed for the majority of it. So, for those of you who were at the Cheltenham game - and witnessed one of the most exciting creative performances by an Albion midfielder in years - I take it you are as baffled as me?

But Thornton cant kick the ball straight to the keepr like Virgo does. And Thornton cant try and dribble a ball into a defender like Virgo does, so therefore should not play.
With Thornton on the wing we cannot play that tacti where we kick it REALLY high into the corners, because as a winger you need to be able to win headers and flick them on to no one
