urijah is a good, well bad really, bible name. i know of at least one other at the good or bad! cafflick school of our children's. he pronouce his name sort of like uur-eye-jah. bit like elijah without the ee at the start.

Elijah = nice name

Urijah = not so much

I see nothing wrong with it; there are a lot of Uriahs/Urijahs in the Bible. It's quite a common Jewish name.

On the other hand, a friend of mine had a baby boy before Christmas that's been lumbered with the name of Aubrey.

Aubrey's a fine name! Think of the great Aubrey Beardsley!

I cannot say I like it, but cannot comment to much since I have named my daughter Iona.

Nowt wrong with that, so did we. Not an uncommon name and it reflects her 3/8 Scottishness. Also we can tell her that she has a famous island with her name. Her sister (Rebecca) is quite content that her name is shared with a one horse "City" in Alabama!

Worst one I have come across was "Boadicea"!!
