SSN report that negotiations between David Sullivan (co owner of Birmingham with David Gold) are at an advanced stage for him to purchase Ipswich. There was the speculation about David Gold buying or investing in us and we have done a number of deals with Ipswich. Hm interesting but it could be me just hoping.

Ipswich have just agreed to sell a majority stake to Marcus Evans. He will buy the clubs £32 million pound debt and invest a further £12million into the club to become the majority shareholder and new owner. So why would they be looking to sell again? Or the new owner sell up this quickly unless something dodgy was going on?

Sullivan is still bound by Football League rules that prevent him from negotiations with a new club all the time he has shares in Birmingham.

I don't think the link between Brighton and Ipswich has anything to do with what Sullivan and Gold might do after they've sold Birmingham. More the fact that Bowditch enjoyed his time down here on loan and that has helped developed a relationship between Wilkins and Magilton.

As I posted was what was shown on SSN this morning David O Sullivan in league with Marcus Evans, perhaps O'S is some of the the money behind it. The extra £12m which has been promised later, when Brum is sold?
