Is it the end of F1? Absolutely not. May be the end of the current phase of continual expensive development, jetting halfway around the world, pneumatic titted pit girls, etc. though.

Motor Racing is being hit bloody hard by sponsors pulling out, F1 will survive but i;m more concerned about the other series around the globe.

The super touring cars of the 1990's was by far more exciting than the current touring car series. Can see F1 going the same way and cut backs leading to it being more like A1GP with one manafacturer/engine etc

The BTCC used to be fantastic when BMW, Alfa, Volvo, Vauxhall and a host of other car manufacturer's were involved. The last time I bothered to watch it had about two manufacturer's and a load of no hopers. I would imagine the BTCC would be the 1st to fold, in it's current format, of the big events given a total lack of interest from the manufacturers.

I highly doubt it with these two stories emerging

BBC SPORT | Motorsport | Formula One | Ex-Honda team closes on F1 return

BBC SPORT | Motorsport | Formula One | US team plans to enter F1 in 2010

Definetly good news if an american team gets involved as A. More chance of them bringing back Canadian GP, and B. If they bring Miss Danica Patrick into F1

I've got back into the BTCC after loving it back in the 1990s, sure right now its probably not as good but I still love and saw some fantastic action at Brands last year. BTCC wont die either, theres still Seats running this year after the main Manufactures team pulled out last year plus Honda have a couple of cars too. If drivers/teams still get the sponsorship then thats half the battle won already, its when that starts to dry up we'll see change especially in the lower classed series around the Country.

Watchin the boats go by
Nascar is far more interesting to watch than F1

Really? Seeing as my favourite sport is NFL I'm not gonna sit here and make out it's crap cos it's American like many people would, it's just that I really cannot see any appeal to the sport?

Almost every race is just one embanked oval that they drive round hundreds of times is it not? Don't get me wrong they do it well fast and having been to Daytona on a non race day I'm sure watching it live is incredible but I just cannot see the appeal of watching it on TV?
