Someones lying here. DK stated Bas' agent told Bas to sign. Bas agent clearly doesn't feel that way, is DK trying to turn fans against Bas because he thinks he's made a mistake or is greedy Bas' agent trying to get the fans back onside?!

Would be interesting to hear what Bas has to say about the matter. However,I fear that the first option may be the correct one

Time will tell on this, cant quite see Bas getting a regular start in a championship side, if he can earn more money at another Div 1 club good luck to him, but an offer of an 18 month contract with us on reportedly half decent money cannot be considered ungenerous

This is getting confusing, even for an intellectual like me. So, reading between the lines, Bas isn't already a well paid player by our standards. He's probably fairly average. We have made him some sort of offer, which must include a rise (not to mention petrol money!), but he feels he deserves more - in line with his improvement as a player and role in the team. I have to admit, I was maybe a bit too scathing towards Bas yesterday. Whilst it's impossible to make a true judgement on this without knowing the exact facts and figures, it's starting to look like the club are being a bit AS WELL as Bas upping his demands.

If he has the foresight to see the economics behind not paying inflated wages that just requires further money from himself and the other directors.
