Is this a different class of Albion team?

Can the Albion win tomorrow?

  • Yes, yes they can. This team is made of sterner stuff than the wishy washy shit of the past.

After some truly spectacular results, Exeter appear to be proverbial lambs to the slaughter tomorrow night. The Albion are hot, hot favourites to secure another victory and, at the very least, maintain their 8 point gap at the top of the table.

However, the roller coaster life of an Albion fan suggests that this is just the sort of game we'll slip up in.

So, can Gus really fire them up to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and tippy tappy their way around the likely 10 man defence en route to another 3 points? Or will we all be disappointed late tomorrow evening?

We should do OK but the mantra for the night must be patience as they will be very defensive and a point to them is a victory.

Expect us to score in the first minute then...........

tough and tight like pretty well every home game will be.

they are a decent attacking side capable of scoring goals away but they do not have the league's strongest defence and their keeper had a 'mare when put under pressure on Saturday.

We will prevail..........................just

2-1

I have a feeling that we will thrash them but more likely 1-0 Barnes, penalty 83 minutes.

Exactamundo.

When did we score against Yeovil, just before half time wasn't it? May take a while again but once we get that breakthrough (KLL to score first), we will cruise to victory (I hope)

We should batter them. Im sure Gus will play they game down and give them the respect they deserve though.

I would take 1-0 now.

This is one of the games where we can vastly improve our goal difference.

Exeter will be shit scared, after us destroying Peterborough, and them losing 4-2 against Brentford. We'll win. 2-0.

I can say this is by far the best and most enjoyable Brighton side I've ever watched

Great being an Albion fan isn't it. We're all rubbing our eyes in disbelief. Loving every minute of it and as excited as a child on Christmas Eve, but scared that it could all come to a juddering halt any minute now. Itching to big it up with your mates, but knowing that you could hex the whole thing. Getting to the point where we have every right to expect this cracking side to win games, but knowing how often we've ultimately been disappointed. Loving the ride - Can't remember the last season I enjoyed as much.

Exeter have a bright manager - so they will be ready for the game with a plan.

But if we play as we can - that plan will be johnny immaterial.

And I think the team is made of sterner stuff.

I think we'll win by a goal or two. Exeter will be well organised with a solid defensive set up, but we'll score late in the first or from mid way through the second as their concentration and energy drop. Ashley Barnes if playing will miss at least one chance which will be described as a sitter by some but in actual fact will have been quite difficult.

All unbeaten runs come to an end at some time, and generally it is to a team that seems an unlikely candidate. Having said that, I think we will win tonight.

Think we'll do well in our next three home games but fall to abject defeat against Colchester.

Why?

Because I can get to the Colchester game and it will continue the long line of home defeats and draws I've seen since my last home win,the injury time 3-2 against Southend many, many moons ago.
