Is this 1976 all over again?

Back in 1976 an ambitious and rich chairman of Brighton appointed a quality interntational footballer who had gone from a club in West London to Tottenham Hotspur. In just under three years, we were in the top flight of English football.

I reckon history is just about to repeat itself, but not as tragedy, or farce.
