That would be THFC (CM spits on ground) selling Jermaine Defoe to PFC (CM spits on ground again) and then buying him back a season later for a good few million more.
No. There was obviously a reason his position came unattainable over the course of last season, Knight wouldn't have got the backing of the board to go ahead and sack him otherwise.
I don't know. After McGhee was fired Dick Knight came out on Sky Sports, in the Argus, on the radio and said he listens to the fans and he decided that he would fire McGhee. No mention of the board...
Ahead of selling a ground with nowhere to play, groundsharing in a different county and then playing in a converted shithole?
I see your ground sale and share scenario and raise you Derby County pushing Brian Clough out of the club and for him to later lead their local rivals to two European Cup triumphs.
So how do you explain going from 7th to the very strong possibility of being relegated? No. There was obviously a reason his position came unattainable over the course of last season, Knight wouldn't have got the backing of the board to go ahead and sack him otherwise.

As far as our club is concerned sacking Wilkins must be in the top five f*** ups.
1 Selling the Goldstone. (YES I KNOW)
2 Jimmy Case as manager.
3 Sacking Wilkins.
4 Selling Dean Saunders for peanuts
5. Did not like the look of Roy Keane.
I am sure there a far worse but I cant think of anymore.

Managers should be based on their management ability. Results should follow that. Our most successful manager ever was still sacked.I thought managers were based on results?
