That is not working properly today, keeps saying no satalite signal.

I could understand if it was raining heavily outside or realy windy but on a nice pleasant and sunny day, it's taking the piss because i'm missing the Liverpool Vs Arsenal game now.

So is anyone else having a similar problem?

In my computer
Ours is fine - although it did drop out once this morning, had to turn the lot off at the wall and wait 60 seconds to reset the box before it came back on. It is very very windy in Shoreham today though!!

mines fine in bn14...have you tried turning it off and back on again??

Yes, and the other two in our house but all is shows now is like a realy pixelated picture that changes every 5 seconds and no score in the top left so i don't realy know if a goal goes in.

I live in bolney, that may be the problem, but its a lovely day, no wind and extremely sunny.

Is it any better now? have you been outside to check the dish hasn't blown over/down in the strong winds?

I had this problem a couple of years back - at this time of year.

It turned out that the new growth and leaves on the tree in the back garden were causing the signal to go down.

All it took to solve the problem was an axe.

Good call-I'd chop down the dish too!

Rule #1 of satellite problems: Nobody else has the same.

Satellite broadcasting works in such a way that an entire area cannot be having the same problem at the same time - the entire UK and Ireland would be having it.

Theres a problem with your setup.

Its quite possible the box is f*cked.

I had similiar problems (luckily just before I was to upgrade to Sky+)

Got him to check the old equipment, and the tuner was only good for the dustbin.

My problem was I could only change channel AFTER switching he box off and on.

(but got the no satellite signal in between )

I was given an old analogue dish and decoder in the netherlands by a workmate when he returned to the UK, this worked well until I went away on holiday, on my return all the channels I could get were broadcast in Arabic...nothing in English.

Analogue - all thats in English is Eurosport, CNN, part-time CNBC, and some of MTV anyway. However, theres nothing in arabic! Are you sure its an analogue box? (the dish doesn't matter, theres no such thing as an analogue dish).
