"My bad". I find this phrase incredibly annoying. I know language evolves etc. Does anybody else hate this term. What's wrong with mistake or fault.
I would say I only use it in an ironic or inapproprite situation.
I.e When a threw some keys at my girlfriend yesterday when she asked for them. I forgot to check in advance that she wanted to catch them and they hit her in the face.
This is when "my bad" is reeled out. It also needs to be said over-enthusiatically to add to the 'whoops' factor
Amercanism
It's another terrible Amercanism, which is only used by tools.
The missing words in the middle are "command of the English language is".
