It's good to see from the Seagulls Player that Gus has done the honourable thing and as good as expressed regret/apologised for yesterday's display and his poor team selection. Admitting when you've cocked up is something we all have to do in life - so well done Gus.

???

No - Too stubborn, has never brought in a goal scorer into the club; sticks with useless Dicker, headless chicken CMS, Navarro (league 1 player) & two useless goalies. Enoough said. Have overachieved this season. If here next, we will be lower half.

and the award for the stupidest comment goes to...

if he failed to bring in a goal scorer, stuck with a useless and headless players, a league one midfielder and two useless goalies, how exactly is he supposed to have underachieved, getting this apparently poor team to within a grasp of the playoffs ???

cant really understand why this is even being discussed serioulsly in all honesty. Of course Gus is the man for the job.

Yesterdays team selection was dreadful but deep down he knows it probably was. You can almost guarantee that some of the players wont be here next year or will be squad players at best.
Gus/Brighton will attract players in the summer, ive no doubt about that. If he hasnt assmbled a squad capable of challenging the likes of West Ham then it would be time to have this discussion, because there would be no excuse. The players from league 1 have been given a chance at this level and rightly so but they have proved very ineffective at this standard and should find clubs that they can excel in, because it aint with us.
Yesterday was men v boys and it showed dramatically. Painter, Dicker, Navarro, Calderon were simply brushed aside with ease. It would be nearly impossible not to realise this and deal with it once the season is over. Whilst saying this, we certainly have not over acheived this year and we are not a million miles away from assembling a decent squad. We have some good players in Buckely, Noone, Bridcutt, Vicente (if he stays - but i bet yesterday didnt help), KLL, Mattock, who just need better quality around them and not average joes.

Lets have this discussion again in 5 months time.

Who's writing poyet off?
I will back him like most and I'm sure he will succeed next season once he gets rid of dead wood:)

I didn't say write Poyet off, I said you were writing off his achievement by saying it wasn't that far. It is a good thing that he has done and I think he will continue, although every manager has a shelf life, so I'm not a licker or whatever label the miserabalists want to attach to their arguement.

No. You've got that completely wrong. We are lucky to have Tony bloom not Gus.

Totally this.

I would prefer another manager, playing an attacking style of football. I could not wish for a better Chairman. Yes, there are others with more money, but not true fans like Tony.

YES, who else would you want that we could realistically recruit?

I am not suggesting he be changed. BUT, the recruitment thing should not be an issue any longer with Falmer and no doubt decent funds to play with. Money and Withdean ware always going to make recruitment difficult over recent years.

No. You've got that completely wrong. We are lucky to have them both.
Gus is lucky to be here I can assure you,why are we lucky to have gus?the most important person at our club is bloom, let's not pump gus's ego up another notch even though he blabs on about moving to the prem with the spuds or chelsea.

if you look at another thread..apparently gus is the reason for our downfall by being too defensive...i have suggested ''downfall'' from where

Bloom is no fool, as you don't make millions in business by without intelligence or being astute. He will fire Gus without a thought if he thought that was the right thing to do. There have been some big changes in management at the Albion already under his chairmanship so don't worry about that.
