Will the Spanish Armada founder on our stout defence or....Will there be a Spanish Inquisition for Southgate on Monday morning ?

Massively superior squad to Spain, but suspect we'll do it coming from a goal down.

And yet somehow the massively inferior Spain squad has 19 CL wins and 6 EL trophies in it while the English superstars only managed to pick up 6 CL wins for their clubs. Strange.

Damn right it's strange. Just look at the players and the squads. I agree though, it's easy to cherry pick statistics to back whatever bias you choose, part of the reason club stats are largely meaningless when considering internationals.
Not the same side as a decade ago, rather be playing them than France or Germany.
If England turn up, they win, just hoping we don't bottle it.

It doesn’t come home until they win a World Cup. Today is just a bit bigger than the nations league.

Agree. Victory won’t put another star on the shirt but it will still be bloody marvellous to lift a trophy. A big ask , but people are bigging this Spain team up too much. I’ve seen matches where they could easily have conceded two or three (Croatia. Georgia and Germany).

Not a clue but please can we play without fear, I can take a defeat if we play well.

If we take the lead and try and sit on it I might put my foot through the TV, unless of course it’s in the last 10 mins
In some ways I’d prefer us to be wonderfully entertaining and go down fighting than reduce it to a bore fest and win.

Of course want them to win but win or lose will no way offer the pleasure or disapointment I get from all Albion games.

I wouldn't.

I don't care if its the most turgid performance of all time, if that guarantees we lift trophy where do I sign?

But the Gods of Football luck seem to have gone all in on England this time.
