Is F1 finally disappearing up it's own bottom?

Is it racing or a sponsors procession?

- Just 15 cars start.
- Only 11 finish.
- No competition.
- Winning team half a circuit ahead of everybody else.
- Only 3 teams likely to be even close to the podium, all season.

It must have been a yawnfest.

Finally all those years of hard work seem to be paying off eh Bernie!............but perhaps paying off was a bad turn of phrase to pick?

Finally?

I think that happened a long time ago.
Well yes there is that.

But F1 usually managed to conjure up some kind of competitiveness.
The only non crash related action today must have been 'can he get passed this lapped car'.

Well I loved last season and expect this season to be good with competition worth watching right down the field,

I will concede that today's race was incredibly dull but then I find cycle racing incredibly dull ALWAYS and the same with cricket but don't feel inclined to start threads telling everyone

A few years ago when something like 10 different drivers won the first 10 races I thought they had cracked it at last.
Its a real enthusiasts sport again now as the average armchair viewer is finding it boring again but we all tune in to watch the start in the hope its going to be exciting and quite often sitting through the race just to see who wins rather than switch it off.
What will always facinate me though is the engineering and the fact that it cancome down to 0.001 of a second.

But cycling never used to be really exciting only to become proper shitehouse.
While spending billions of pounds and ruining the planet in the process.

The 'highlights' on sky F1 pretty much ignored the front 3 and showed the stuff going on down the pack.

Much more interesting.

Ah but how much safer and efficient is your car, a very positive aspect.

Please enlighten me on how Formula One is ruining the planet. Are you a vegetarian tree hugging sandal wearing Green perchance?

Nah just threw it in there for shits and giggles.

So without F1 there wouldn't be better cars?

As for the "laughable" price of bikes.
I can buy Wiggos Pinarello for £10k and ride it on every road he does.
I can buy a replica for under £2k for those roads.

Just how inclusive is F1?

F1 has been mainstream for years but is now suffering on so many levels. How many celebs get interviewed before the ever dulling event? There ain't enough action or characters anymore.

It's almost as bad as the Schumacher Years when Ferrari usually won every race. Mind you, at least with Mercedes, Rosberg is allowed to win, that never happened to the poor sap in the #2 Ferrari.
