Apparently we now have some dough right?? Now clubs with dough sign players willy nilly and keep hold of 'squad' players i.e Fraser , Robinson, Loft, Jarret , Sullivan etc.

By this time last year we had agreed to sign Mcleod Hawkins and Livermore, and in all probability Virgo.

You can not have a big enough squad in this league if you can afford it!! Don't tell me all Lizards cash is tied up in the Stadium what happens when its built we are all very grateful but we can't move in for 8 months and we have a Chairman with a controlling interest of 75% who has no more cash??!!!

I'm just worried by the ratio of players released to those we so far have not got anywhere near signing I mean we only have one keeper , very much admired with great ability but he is prone to an injury.

Lets hope we don't get the totally disinterested loan signings scenario again this season as we panic about the depth and quality of the current Squad

Virgo new he was coming here in April as the house he moved into was being renovated in that month and sold a few weeks previous.

We've already missed out on Kaka and Ronaldo,and it looks like David Villa has chosen a smaller club,too.

But am I worried ?

According to Bloom he is richer than some people who was in the top 100 richest men that was lately published in the Times i think it was, so i dont think that he has invested all the money in the stadium, also he does have other busineses eg Property in Dubai, Australia, Canada and Usa, as well as his past involvement in Gambling and also his Poker, which i guess is his pocket money.
He also has stated that would be money for Slade to use but wouldnt state the amount as i think is common sense as if clubs new maybe would up the prices dramatically, i as everyone is worried that havent signed anyone yet but id much prefer to sign the right players than anyone.
I most of all want to hear that Whing and Dicker have signed deals, i think that Bloom wouldnt have given the go ahead to cut so many players from our squad, average players like Loft, Fraser, Sullivan, etc if new would be a year of struggling with investment in players as he could so easily have just offered one year entensions to all above.
What is a bit of a shame is that Owusu has decided to have a 2 year holiday in Australia (i love the country but the quality of football out there is dreadful) and he stated that maybe would be fourth string here, id be quite happy if we sold Murray for £500,000 as need make a profit on the £300,000 bought for and then maybe buy Calvin Andrews from Palace as i thought was a good player for us at end of year when come on as sub and made a big impact.

Its because we're not signing released players or out of contract ones. Once the window opens (1st July) We'll be spending on players the teams don't want to sell. :yahoo:
