Apparently we now have some dough right?? Now clubs with dough sign players willy nilly and keep hold of 'squad' players i.e Fraser , Robinson, Loft, Jarret , Sullivan etc.

By this time last year we had agreed to sign Mcleod Hawkins and Livermore, and in all probability Virgo.

You can not have a big enough squad in this league if you can afford it!! Don't tell me all Lizards cash is tied up in the Stadium what happens when its built we are all very grateful but we can't move in for 8 months and we have a Chairman with a controlling interest of 75% who has no more cash??!!!

I'm just worried by the ratio of players released to those we so far have not got anywhere near signing I mean we only have one keeper , very much admired with great ability but he is prone to an injury.

Lets hope we don't get the totally disinterested loan signings scenario again this season as we panic about the depth and quality of the current Squad

Relax, all will be fine. Just because we haven't bought any players doesn't mean we haven't been trying.

At least we are hearing rumours of players coming out the blue that we have tried to sign and failed.

It shows we are trying, instead of doing nothing, which is the normal

The only thing that worrys me is that we only have 16 players in the squad, and we have to name 18 on a matchday. Those 16 include Jonny Dixon, Colin Hawkins, Josh Pelling, Steve Brinkhirst and Steve Cook

What a load of tosh, just wait and see as the three players we had secured this time last year hardly impressed at all.

The question I suppose is.....ARE we looking to get decent players through spending out on transfer fees? (I listened to TB podcast again and it is crystal clear we have one of the BIGGEST BUDGETS and he expects results (top 6)......................)

Or are we going to be messing around over scraps? ( don't really think so)

I would assume the former by the sounds of the rumours but it would be nice to get the ball rolling with a couple of decent signings and some comment from RS in a way of saying we hope to sign........players in the next week. ( I do however get the feeling that RS is an astute man in these proceedings and we won't really hear anything until it is all tied up.)

Please not more doom and gloom....there will be more than enough time for that once the action re-starts!

HB&B, why not join up with Withdean Wanderer and the other doom merchants and go take a summer break?

Too early to panic , I am wondering if Bloom's money is purely for the stadium though. Maybe we haven't masses for the transfer budget , It's a distinct posibility

It's not cash that is needed to be successful in the transfer market. It's a decent address book and the right numbers stored in mobile phones.

and to be able to convince decent players at this level to come and play in an Athletics Stadium and change in a hut for two years!!

Also to be able to find a decent and affordable place to live !!!
