Some shop called the Christmas Factory has just opened.. and every shop in town has Christmas Trees etc in there windows!

Is it just me or is all this festive cheer all abit premature?

Christmas, for me, starts on Christmas Eve and ends after Boxing Day. I have no intention of wasting any more of my time with this Christian/Festive nonsense.

Three quality family days, rather than a smash and grab round the shops, stockpiling food as if the world was coming to an end.

No I don't want those roasted nuts. The reason why they only sell around Christmas time is because they taste like hot cardboard. f*** off with your out of tune Christmas Carols. There are plenty of decent venues to listen to quality festive music without having to be subjected to out of tune, cat stranglingly, excruciating, ear destructing shite in my own personal space. There is a longer rant here, but dinner is on the go.

I love Christmas, no problem with a long build up.

Christmas itself doesn't get any earlier.

The only thing that does is the asking of the question "does Christmas get earlier every year?".

Before anyone points it out, I know I mentioned the Morrisons ad with Lulu yesterday, but that was more to do with the irritation factor of the campaign, rather than any great objections to Christmas being sold in November.

Fact: these companies wouldn't advertise if nobody bought into it, therefore there must be a fair few people who've got on to their Christmas shopping already.

Given that most posters on here are male, and the majority of people shopping for Christmas dinner are statistically likely to be female, it's probably the case that your better halves are out there already, having bought a few things to spread the cost, rather than hammering the old credit cards to oblivion in December. You just don't know about it because you pay so little attention, beyond expecting your turkey and brussels sprouts to be on the plate on the 25th, as usual

:p
