Flintoff fails again
Missed that, I was cooking some yummy food, which is obviously more exciting than watching Duncan Fletchers England playing one day cricket.

we got too many people at the top of the order that get 35 runs from 70/80 deliveries, and thats with the fielding restrictions,
thats were we always go wrong, as we never seem to get to 280

That's a fair observation, although it doesn't help that at least 2 of the opening 3 always seem to get out cheaply first!

In Bell's case that was a good thing getting out, 31 from 74 in one day cricket is shocking, not the first time he's been slower than a.... Oh go on Brett, you can say it to raise your score...

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
'Nixon gets one for a whip to mid-wicket before Collingwood picks up his 15th one-day international fifty with a drag to long-on. A smattering of applause, the sort of applause you'd expect to hear at a very small bandstand in Westcliff-On-Sea'

So England will get about 250 on a nice LUSH batting track against a team of part timers and we've got Saj Mahmood still to bowl.

SHITTERY.

250 should just about cover Mahmood's 10 over spell...

Nixon out, another one bites the dust

we have been hitting a few 6s at the end though - so not as bad as once thought
You say that but what do you think the top teams would have got, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka and maybe even West Indies would have all gone way past 300 on this track against Ireland but then they don't have top order batsmen that score so slowly.

Collingwood out.

Perhaps he'll take a solid blow to the hand.
The Irish will bowl him a couple of gentle ones to ensure that doesn't happen. Which is cheating really, when you think about it.
