This is NOT a vintage Ireland side. In fact, it’s a very poor one.

We’ve looked good but wasn’t uncommon to see something like this under Southgate against a minnow in qualifying, so I think some are getting a BIT ahead of themselves and just want to stick the boot in on one of the greatest ever England managers.

People have said Kane needs runners around him and Carsley has provided that with Gordon, Saka and Grealish. The second goal was liquid football.

But, crucially, England have been fun to watch. So far, so good.
