What a load of bollocks

Very unfair for any "small" club who draws them in the Champ League/uefa Cup next year who can't travel to the away match

What a load of shit. They should have been banned for a couple of years. In fact Italian football should be banned from Europe for at least a season, their fans are a disgrace.

dont think uefa would have ever done any more(apart from the fine) without really causing more violance. it was a small and stupid minority who set out to ruin the game. im sure many inter fans are ashamed of there owen fans who took part in the violance.

What is the point of awarding AC a 5-0 aggregate win ??? that makes no sense whatsoever.

It seems as if UEFA are punishing the fans more than the club. Also does the ban apply to away games ???

Well, the 2 having a cosy chat on here about it the other day seemed to think it was acceptable.

Not that I'm saying they are representative of the general fans.

It was a small minority that lead to English clubs getting a hefty ban from European football, a ban that we are only just starting to get over.

But it was only a minority that got English clubs banned for 6 years and this did not involve trying to kill or mame players or officials in the way Inter and Roma ( earlier this season ) have done. I think it should have been a lot heavier and that they should have banned Italian sides from Europe for 5 years.

Eh?

The ban was ultimately because the actions of Liverpool fans led to the death of 39 people.

But it was a small minority of them. Should we wait till a player is blinded by a flare before taking action? The italians are as bad if not worse the the english were at the time.

Well I dont see whats wrong at all with chucking off a higher tier a motorised scooter, hanging flags draped with a swastika on and chucking flamin flares at opposing players!!!

great fans and great club for letting the fans take these to games!!! In fact perhaps I should have taken a scooter upstairs at Cardiff!!!

Well done Uefa!!

It was the fans that actually threw the flares though

But you have not answered my question. Do we wait till the italian fans kill someone before we act?

Think you'll find its Lazio who drape swastikas not us. Black players are very popular at Inter, eg Ince and currently Martins.Ince sat with ultras a couple of times when he was suspended so dont chat that bollocks.

I think the punishment is fair its the heaviest they have given for a while, and if we misbehave again in the next 3 years then thats fair that we should serve another two games.

I couldnt give a shit about the flares on the pitch, apart from the Dida thing that was out of order. Unfortunately it hasnt had the desired effect of forcing the owner out.

I said officials and players. most of what happened at hysel was 1) fans fighting between each other and 2) a wall that collapsed due to the stadium not being up to the now required safety standards. Italian teams diud not get banned after that as it was all blamed on the Liverpool fans and to this day it has never made sense to me considering a Juve fan actually pulled out a gun ( video evidence of this is available and has been well documented ) and went to shoot a Liverpool fan. I am not justifying what happened as it was a very sad day in football but it goes to show that although English fans are no worse than any other set of fans throughout the world it is just that uefa seem to have athing against us.

In 2001 Inter were ordered to play two European matches away from the San Siro and fined £35,000 after similar crowd trouble at their Uefa Cup tie with Spanish side Alaves.

And UEFA call the punishment hefty? :tosser:
