Thought this important announcement was worthy of a new thread:

I can assure you there are NO problems with the funding for the new stadium or any issue with banks or funding partners. The funding plan remains unchanged and is on track. We are now in a position where the legal agreements are on track, the planning permissions are on track and funding is on track. The evidence is the amount of progress we are now making on site.

Thank you Insider. At last a clear comment from the club (presumably cleared with MP!) on funding. I'm feeling more positive now.

Shame you added the last bit though as to me until the structure of the stadium begins to go up (by which time the serious spending will have started) the site progress is not a great funding barometer.

Now lets get 3 points tonight!

I don’t mean to stir more trouble but if the main steel work is due to go up in early summer after the ground excavation then the manufacturer must be in the process of making the steel frame work? Perhaps a cheeky picture of this work being done would shut some people up……including me

Hmmm.
There's a lot of references to things being "on track", but in my experience, pretty much anything that is "on a track" is always going to be highly unreliable, subject to change, or even a complete cancellation.

I think Insider is hiding the TRUTH you know. Now, where's bhadeb when you need her ?

God help us if it snows, or if any leaves blow in the direction of the site.

We all know how leaves (especially if the wrong kind) and snow can affect things on tracks.

from what I read into that it appears we're gunning for the rights to the 2011 British GP after donington will fail in 2010, presume a hairpin around the pond and use the access road for Pits...could work!

Assuming you are serious, I'm sure the Insider is just passing on information and knows as much about the details of the financing of the stadium as the rest of us.

What specifically makes you think him or the club are hiding something?

Easy cowboy,
It was only a suggestion. If people saw that this kind of work had been or was being carried out then how could they still have doubts?

Yup.

I know but ................... just cut the club some slack.

If they put up photos of the steelwork some would be looking for the next thing. It is going ahead - we know there will be delays - we all expect that. But just to be proceeding with all that is going on in the world and our economy is amazing.

Yes, I can see the comments now - "The bars are in the wrong place," "They used the wrong turf," "It's all Dick's fault there are no standing terraces," There are too many seats in the Directors' box," "The roof's the wrong colour," etc. etc.

Fair point.

My response was obnoxious by the way…. No offence intended.
