Bit random thread I suppose but this is just crazy impressive.

Williams got injured last week but got fit enough for the game today and played his 237th straight game for Athletic Bilbao. More than six seasons of playing in every single game.

Well worth a slow and moderately enthusiastic applause IMO.

It is really impressive.

I like him as a player, pacey and direct. A few technical flaws but I am surprised he’s not had a move to a bigger club and I think that ship has probably sailed now. He seemed exactly the sort of player a Premier League club would try to poach. Maybe not enough goals?

Clearly doesn't get stuck in enough.

I know that's facile but I don't trust players who never get suspended or injured.

Difficult to buy from Athletic Bilbao... they have more money than they need, pay their players well and are overall reluctant to sell as their options are obviously very limited.

Top 4 outfield players in terms of consecutive starts in the PL: 4. Jonathan Walters, 3. Shearer 2. Lampard 1. Wayne Bridge (113 games). None of them strike me as particularly soft players.

Bridge was with us for a season. He held the "Ben's Grandad Award" for best left back ever until we signed Cucurella. But Vinny Jones, he's not.

It was slightly tongue in cheek though.
