Over here for work in one of my favorite cities. What a top place. Blue skys,warm sun, great food, cold beer and lovely ladies. And the Portugesse have got to be the friendliest people in Europe.
Any one else been and got any tips on good places to go ?

I have only been very briefly, we were there six or so hours so no tips from me.

portugedde were certainly not the friendliest when they knocked us out of the world cup this year, i just happened to be there at the time, lukily i was in an English bar and though i'd drown my sorrows there but oh no! a gas leak breaks out banishing me to the streets where i was taunted like a bitch and my only retaliation was to either moon the passing cars or imitate the throwing of a small rock!

My ex is Portuguese. Have been to Lisbon a fair few times, but can't say the people were very friendly.

also the taxi drivers in portugal are pricks, especially those at the airports, were not helpful whatsoever, there were five of us and we asked them to order a larger taxi to accomodate, as we could see one waiting a number of taxis back in the queue, although he did not appear present, they told us we would have to get in two taxis doubling the fare of what we would have had to pay!

naturally we told them where to go and waited for our pre arranged transfer
