"I'm in a unique situation for a manager because I'm not bothered if I get the sack"

Neil Warnock recently signed a contract extension to stay as Bluebirds' manager until the end of 2017-18, but is confident about his position because of a lack of managerial talent elsewhere.

"I'm in a unique situation for a manager because I'm not bothered if I get the sack - they can sack me tomorrow if they want," he said.

"If I want another job, I can get another job. That's not being conceited, I just don't see many good managers around.

"There used to be hundreds, you could name them all but the Championship is not like any other league."

Unbelievably 43% of people that voted in the poll at the bottom of the page , think he's the best Manager outside of the Premier League.

There are so many idiot owners around, we've now got a merry-go-round manager club, who don't really care where they are - as long as they can see the next termination settlement. Got to take your hat off to him really.....

He is being truthful any of the 3 recent vacancies would have gone for him if he was available ie Derby Forest or Norwich

:lolol: As if. Mel whatsisface would never employ Warnock. Norwich would not touch him with a shitty stick either. Forest maybe, Warnock is the choice for a desperate club that have literally no care for aesthetics or glamour. Neither Norwich or Derby are at that level yet.

The more unpleasant aspect of his remarks is the dissing of Warren Joyce as a manager.

OK you might THINK it. You might even be right. But you're an absolute tosser for openly saying it Colin, about a bloke who's just lost his job.

But if we look at this abjectly he is right... how many teams has he managed and how many sacked him yet he is still employed making good money. He is actually being honest. How many managers are there out there that chairman are willing to gamble on? Tony with Poyet but most teams supporters want instant results. Look at Chris's appointment when we were struggling a lot of people wanted to get rid of him.

I disagree because he is what they both need right now ........a winner.

Sadly there are many on here that would take Colin, in a heartbeat, as the next Albion manager.

That is not what you said though. You may go for him if you were in charge of any of those clubs, and he would probably do pretty well at all of them. However, as I said there is no way clubs with delusions of grandeur like Derby and Norwich would employ Warnock. These clubs are trying to encourage their fans to buy season tickets at this time of year, not depress the life out of them.
