Right ...... here it goes....
I love Brighton with all my heart and soul . But I am also a realist. I want to look long term for the club and wanted to put this one out there...

If we go down then is it really the end of the world? I would rather be in a division that we dont get the shit kicked out of us every week and actually win a few games regular!!! Isnt it better to be in a division that we can sustain a winning form than to be struggling in a division that lowers the moral of both players and supporters. Look on the bright side dudes!! We got a new stadium being built which in a couple of years will boost our revenue to the standard of div 1 and championship clubs! t6hen maybee we can build on that and sustain a posision in a division we deserve to be inb and actually stay there! no more boom and bust~!!
I know i will probably be slayed for my views but im only being real..

This has been discussed many times before, the main problem is the last time we went down to the forth division we were there for four years and nearly went out of it in the wrong direction. Oh, and rochdale have been there for nearly forty years, we have no divine right to promotion.

Financially, I don't see how we will cope with going down. The club can't really afford to lower ticket prices, butpeople won't pay to see League Two football at the current prices

It's all very well saying the stadium will boost our revenue, but you need the fans in the stadium to get the revenue

That's what people said when we came into this division, although to be fair, they were right, we shouldn't be out of our depth in this division. That we are is down to incompetence, and that won't go away if we go down.

The long term future of this club realize on us not going down. I simply cant see us no matter how many people argue other wise being able to afford a stadium in that division, and even when its built how will we fill it and generate enough revenue to uphold the stadium.
I'm not sure the finances of the new stadium are dependent on what division we're in - I find the implosion of the world's economy more worrying in that regard. Anyway, Hull were in the bottom division when they moved into their stadium. Reading may have been as well? Anyway there's nothing to say we won't be promoted in the next two seasons.
