regarding "anthems", I noticed an interesting phenomenon listening to the end of Newcastle v. Liverpool... with a few minutes left the Liverpool away support started up their traditional rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone" - which if they are 2 goals clear in a game will usually "ring around the ground" as a final mark of supremacy - but the Newcastle fans decided they weren't having it... they initially drowned it out by concerted whistling and booing before launching into loud choruses of their own "Blaydon Races".... nice touch I thought...

as for GOSBTS, lets just say it has as yet untapped potential... in a shiny new Falmer I expect brass bands and lots of singing of GOSBTS

Its not really an anthem though.
