Surprised there is nothing on here about this. Iker Casillas came out as gay, seemingly going straight back in again as it was maybe a joke. WTF is wrong with people? Heard the story on the radio earlier where they were praising and criticising him for the "hope you respect me" comment. Then Puyol wades in and it goes sideways. If this was a joke, this guy is cancelled as he has set the chance of players coming out back by years.

I think he was linked to a woman in the press and for a joke said he was gay, and Puyul joked about being his gay partner, it sounds like just a bit of silly banter if that's the whole story.

It's immature behaviour and does little to help any young men (or women) who are struggling with their sexuality.

From what the Sky report says it would seem his account was hacked and Puyol came in with the comment. Which he (or his PR agency) now regret.
