Pack your bags, we’re going to a secluded island. It might be years - or forever.

But you can only take/stream music by artists beginning with ONE LETTER.

Which letter do you choose?

It’s really, really hard. I keep changing my mind.

Rules:

Take “The” off band names and “DJ” off artist names. So The Verve, is V. DJ Shadow is S.

Solo artists count by their FIRST names. So David Bowie is D.

Combinations count by first artist name only. So Queen & David Bowie is Q.

I'm doing for D, I think.

Mainly for Depeche Mode, David Bowie, David Sylvian and Duran Duran (just for you, Weststander).

But Daft Punk (early), Destiny's Child, The Doors and Doves are nice, varied bonuses.

Not the best letter for dance, but some interesting artists/DJs including Deep Dish, Deamau5, Dave Holmes and Danny Howells. Plus Dr Dre and, er, Davy DMX.

Don't really know Drake's stuff but have plenty of time to get into it I guess!

D it is.

D is a good shout, for most of the artists you list.

Otherwise, R gives me Radiohead. Any other good bands starting with R are purely a bonus then.

I think you've gotta dig deeper than one to four acts. This could be all you're listening to for the rest of your life.

I disagree, three of my favourite bands beginning with C I have chosen, all 3 bands have made a shed load of albums.

Hellish having to choose between artists, but the best compromise for me is S:

Simple Minds
Saint Etienne
Serge Gainsbourg & Jane Birkin [not joking, I love it]
The Smiths
Silver Pozzoli
Savage
Sparks
Scott McKenzie
Sheila B Devotion
Sister Sledge
Samuel Barber
Smetana
Space Brothers
Sylvester
Supertramp
Stretch & Vern
Still Corners
Slip
Soft Cell

Plus a sneaked video of Sugar Ray Leonard fights.

That lot should keep me going whilst I make a hut of coconut fibre.
