Tomorrow is the first day of the American College Football season (well technically speaking there were a handful of games Thursday and Friday)
so "Go Gators" as (apparently) 60% of the population of my home city will be saying tomorrow. An easy win for the Florida Gators* tomorrow before the real stuff starts in a couple of weeks. Another National Championship beckons.

Big football day tomorrow. The Albion , England and the Gators. Hoping for 3 out of 3.

*the official SEC team of NSC.

I'm puzzled. Why exactly would you not be Gators fans?

Actually I work with a Buckeyes fan and his life is made pretty miserable. Rivalry is noticeably a lot more good natured here though that at home.
Jacksonville will be a sea of blue and orange today. Off to Publix to get supplies for the game. Won't be able to get round without exchanging at least 10 "Go Gators" with like minded people while casting sympathetic looks at those unfortunates in Florida State gear.

Fair enough Tedebear. Your team were giving LSU a good game upto a few mins ago when my bed started calling to me. Florida won 62-3 but it was only Charleston Southern. As Juan points out the Buckeyes did have a bit of an escape against the Navy. I love college football me. So much better than the NFL!

Just got my tickets for the Giants game against the Redskins next Sunday - cant wait.

The NFL have confirmed that they will continue their policy of blacking out live games in hometowns where games have not sold out. It seems odd that they will continue doing this is in a tough economic recession - it’s reckoned some 25 to 50 televised games will be lost to local supporters forcing them to go online if they cannot afford tickets.
