sounds like a good idea, lots of nice facilities, not as dull as a town hall.

Absolutely NO way I'd have got with that! Plus they hadn't got the licence by the time I'd got it all arranged. :)

Meopham, Kent.
I used to know a guy who got married on the pitch at half-time at Bradford.

Wouldn't want to do it myself though.

Funnily enough mentioned this to future mrs mammoth the other night. She was very forthright in her negativity toward it. So I have my orders.

The venue battle roles on- I want Frome, Somerset. She wants Norwich. But it's the brides big day....as long as I get an indie disco at the reception.

Having been to a presentation with the future Mrs Surrey Jim about the reception there I can confirm the company do everything they can to get every last penny out of you while making it as less about 'Falmer' and 'BHA' and more about tarting up what is esscentally a meeting room with a bit of cloth and some fairy lights!

I'm not religious but you have to ask whether you should be gettting a grip on yourself by getting married in a football stadium, surely there are nicer venues, and not everything has to be about football so to make your wedding day part of that as well is a bit too far for me.

Way out west
Despite there being no future Mrs Gully on the horizon there is no way I would want to get married in a football stadium, for me it would have to be at sunrise on the beach of a sun-kissed paradise island!

Personally I think I'd love to have gotten married there, however I know for a FACT that the very lovely Mrs Orange would not have agreed to it!

This. Although obviously it wouldn't have been with Mrs Orange. Although I'm sure she's very nice - I think I'll stop digging now

I certainly wouldn't want to be the first. They'll probably trip over a cable walking up to the registrar. Still, on the bright side, that might pay for the honeymoon.
