then spare a thought for Chelsea, no wonder pre- Mr A. they were so in debt, in summer of 2000 Chelsea sign Winston Bogarde on a free transfer from barcelona, on £42,000 a week, he is utter shite and has only started 2 games for them, and he is still there now. 42 grand for a reserve player, perhaps that was why Vialli was sacked

Bogarde hasn't even been given a squad number this season. That really is a waste of money - just over £2 million a year by my (piss-poor) maths to kick his heels in the reserves. If he had any professional pride he'd have looked for another club.

I accept your sentiments but I disagree. Football is a short career and given the choice I'd rather earn £42,000 a week for a few years as a Chelsea reserve than £5000 or whatever as a first-team players for a 1st division club. My professional pride would be satisfied by looking at my bank balance.
