if you had a 5 year ban from the amex?

Lets say you were guilty but it was not an awful offence say you were drunk and incapable in the stadium and they whacked you with a 5 year ban.
What would you do? I think i would follow another club possibly Pompey and or watch local Sussex side, can't see me bothering with Albion away games and tbh probably not bother after the 5 years to go back to the amex.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Depends when the ban starts Rev, because if we get promoted I'll probably not bother anyway.

Mr Barber will see to that with inevitable price hikes.

Millwall is not far away. Perhaps a 5 year stint there would be a better penalty. That would have perpetrators running back to the Amex.

The punishment is so unimaginative!

I sentence you to 5 years at Millwall
200 hours watching crown green bowls in Blackpool
3 years watching the Worldwide Wrestling

I wouldn't follow another team. I doubt I'd return after 5 years either. I'd feel a bit too alienated for that.

The relationship between the club and the fanbase has always been a bit special at Brighton. At least, up until now...

Watch non league football. Defintiely wouldn't follow another league club. Don't know whether I'd go back after the five years really, I suppose it depends what I was banned for. If it was something stupid and it was a massively over the top punishment then I probably wouldn't want to. If it was for something serious that I deserved a 5 year ban for, then I probably would.

Do you think the prices should remain the same to watch football in a higher divsion then? If so, why, and how do you expect the club to compete on transfer fees and wages if they are charging the same prices that they were in the division below where players are a lot cheaper?

Nope, but then that's not what I posted is it.

I will simply not be able to justify any extra expenditure.

I'd write to the club a lot to get the ban lifted.

In the meantime, I'd ignore the ban and go anyway.

YES I THINK A FULL STADIUM WITH THE REGULAR PROPER FAN WOULD BENEFIT THE CLUB,WITH AN EXTRA £40 MILLION IN THE POT THEY SHOULD BE ABLE NOT TO NEED A PRICE HIKE,I THINK RIPPING THE FANS OFF COULD BACKFIRE LONG TERM, PLENTY OF EX PREMIER TEAMS NOW IN OTHER LEAGUES,THE GOOD WILL OF YOUR FAN BASE CAN'T BE UNDERESTIMATED:moo:

No it's not. That's fair enough, I was just interested. It annoys me when I hear people moaning that they've put the price of a pint up by 20p, and then in the next sentence moan that we need to invest in a top class striker.

What do you mean by a 'proper fan'? I don't think the fans are being ripped off, my season ticket costs £36 a month to watch an exciting side play Championship football in a fantastic stadium, which is less than my mobile phone bill. If that went up to £45 a month to watch Premier League league football, then I wouldn't think that was outrageous. Season tickets are very reasonable, I think.

Where the rip off is is the general sale tickets and the way they go about selling them. £35 being the cheapest ticket is wrong, especially when they then release a load of others £15 cheaper a couple of days before the game.

As for the extra £40 million in the pot, well because of the ridiculously over-inflated transfer fees and wages we would need to invest that in players unless we are happy to watch us get spanked 5-0 every week.
