If you could have been at any musical gig in history, what would it be?

The jam, last concert brighton centre 1982.

Was there.

With hindsight, I would wish to be able to say the same about Live Aid. Live 8 was s**t!

Am pleased to have seen a band very close to qualify as a 'supergroup' at a very local, intimate gig. Foo Fighters at the Concorde, 2007.

Revered, but actually one horrible example for Hendrix in live performance - he was poor, was pissed off, and overworked. The playing was very bad by his standards - this tune was perhaps the only reasonable performed, and his vocals were throwaway. Better to have been at Maui for the Rainbow Bridge performance, by far.

Had seen them both times they had played The Centre already in '82, so didn't bother getting a ticket for the December (and final!) show, and didn't realise/hear about the significance until it was well sold out! DOH!!!

The Fatherland
my Dad went to that Dome gig.

So did my mother and father. Father also saw The Stones and Mother saw The Beatles, in the '60s. They saw a lot of other artists from that time as wel.

With you on that, and it often occurs to me - the question of how much more fulfilling would it be to go to back to an original event we attended, if we could and had a time machine specifically for gigs?

I'd like to have seen Sandy Denny's Fairport Convention, with support by Nick Drake - almost forgot that one!
