I understand Adams wanted to "stamp his mark on the team" for whatever reason, but WHY OH WHY did he mess with the defence? Elphick and Lynch worked perfectly well last year thank you very much, did not need any Hawks.

I think that's spot on. THe problem we've got is that we played Lynch & Elphick last year and they were excellent together. Both players bought out the best in each other and had an excellent understanding of each other. Why Adams thought it was a good idea to get rid of Lynch, I'll never know as I do think that had these two had been playing together this year, then I reckon they'd have been good.

The old addage if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it applies in this case and Adams should have looked at the 2 areas which still needs fixing...Full backs & midfield.

I think I said as much the last time I waas online but we have no consistency in the squad, excerbated by the loan signings so I am not surprised the season has been so poor. Personally I will be happy when the loan signings are gone and we have a settled squad week in week out. Then I'll really be able to assess the club and its manager... right now I don't know from one week to the next which Brighton team we have.

Don't forget how MENTAL everyone went on here over our STUNNING 0-0 draw with Peterborough. I felt so embarrassed to be a Brighton fan that day that I genuinely wanted to cry. Imagine if a Peterborough fan had come on this site that night to see that we regard them as the new Brazil.

From the thread title, I feel it is a bit hopeful. We dominated against Huddersfield and fell to the sucker punch, and again tonight we seem to have dominated from the commentary, and again conceded against the run of play...
