In the past I would have probably argued against that, or just dismissed it with a laugh as paranoia, but I really do think now it's a valid point. People say we don't win the Eurovision Song Contest because 'everybody is jealous of us and hates us'. No, we don't win that because we enter crap songs and/or crap singers. With football though we're talking about FIFA and Sepp Blatter. If he wasn't fond of us before he absolutely HATES us now for continuing to bang on about corruption. I firmly expect to see several decisions go against us, and the reason will be because the ref will have been approached before the game by a FIFA official and will have been reminded of his role in the FIFA family.
