You miserable b**tards. We have played brilliant for the last few games. We are staying up, believe in this team like they believe in each other.:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

forest not won away all season in the league. ok they will be up for this one. but if we win then they are not gonna catch us. so add rotherham to the equation and that is 2 teams that are gonna finish below us. so rotherham down and the other 2 spots to be shared amongst plymouth, gillingham or forest imo.
i still cannot see coventry or cardiff going down. even though coventry have been shocking i think peter reid had lost any respect from his dressing room and they will now start playing. and i also think if inamoto can produce any sort of form for cardiff then they will stay up.
also add leeds going into administration (if) and they will finish below us. with the 10 point deduction.

I think the key could be our home form. I fully expect us to peform better at home against the top teams because it suits our style of play more.
This is the great unknown.

We still have SEVEN of the top nine teams to play at home. So far, we've beaten Preston 1-0 and drawn 1-1 against Sheffield United. But both of those games were over fifteen weeks ago. So there's no real form to help us make a judgement. In theory, the games against Nottingham Forest and Leicester should be easier, and if we win those and pick up eight points from the remaining six away games against lower half opposition, that will be enough.

I'd obviously like to see some good results at Withdean, but I reckon we will stay up even if we see seven home defeats against the teams in the top half of the table.

This thread must be a wind up - did any of you see us out play Shef Utd and Spurs? We are not going to (and don't have to) win every game, but we can beat anyone in this division - the team believe that - so should we.

Stuff all this talk of survival - the only real problem we've got left this season is how should we allocate the tickets for the play-off final? I'll probably get the same train I did last year.

Agreed. We are a DIFFERENT team to the one at the start of the season.

Now we can beat ANYONE in this poxy division...

I firmly believe this division is so open that we can beat ANYONE - but by the same token, ANYONE can beat us.

We could easily win the next five games - we could just as easily lose them.

With five wins from five we would literally be staring the playoffs in the face - with five defeats from five we would be in the thick of the relegation scrap/

There was a time in 2002/03 when things were looking pretty good. Stoke had no form, Coventry were dropping like a stone and Wednesday and Grimsby were struggling. Then Stoke hit a bit of form and stayed up. We picked up two points from a possible nine from the three teams immediately around us and got relegated.

We are in a far stronger position this time round but I never count my chickens with the Albion, although to be fair they have rarely let us down over the last few years.

It's going to be a very exciting run in until we are (hopefully) safe and then we can have a massive party and look forward to going to Moleneux, Walkers Stadium, Hawthorns, Selhurst Park, St Marys, Madejski, Upton Park, Loftus Road, Elland Road, Stadium of Light etc etc next season.

With the amount of teams around us we've got a fantastic chance this season and I firmly believe we will be playing Championship football next season (having just missed out on the play offs). My only worry is the fact that we've got all those top teams to play at home but I do think a win this weekend against Forest will keep us up.

Rotherham, Forest and Plymouth to go down.
